Overview
This article walks you through the steps you need to take in order to connect your NetSuite account to Flare Nexus. Note that you should have integrated a NetSuite integration record to obtain your Client ID and Client Secret, for more info please refer to THIS guide.
Steps
1. On your Flare Nexus account, go to Connectors & Flows, on the left-hand tab on your screen.
2. Choose NetSuite in Add Connectors.
3. On the next page, enter your NetSuite account details: Account ID, Client ID, Client secret, and give your connection a name.
Note: Your Account ID is part of your NetSuite instance's URL (the part before .app.netsuite.com).
Your Client ID and Client secret are the ones you have created following THIS guide.
4. Now click on Establish Connection.
5. You will now be prompted to Log In to your NetSuite instance.
Note: To successfully authenticate, the minimum necessary permissions for the user are:
- User Access Tokens: Full (in the setup tab, only Full option available)
- REST Web Services: Full (in the setup tab, only Full option available)
- SuiteAnalytics Workbook: View (in the reports tab)
Additionally, the user needs NetSuite view access to all records that you're looking to display in Flare, e.g. Sales Orders or Invoices.
The authenticating user's role needs to be without subsidiary restrictions, i.e. Accessible Subsidiaries needs to be set to All.
6. To allow access to your NetSuite account, click on Allow.
7. Once the two systems are connected, you will see a Success message.
8. After refreshing/reloading the page, the new connection will appear in the Connectors & Flows tab.
9. In order to define the flows for this connection, click on the cog wheel, on the right-hand side and click on Modify Flows.
10. At this point all flows are Inactive.
11. There are two types of flows you can activate. A Sync and a Display flow.
Note:
- The Sync flows refer to data that is synced between native objects in Zendesk and NetSuite, for example contacts.
- The Display flows show data from NetSuite that is not synced to Zendesk but only displayed in the Flare app in the Zendesk sidebar.
12. In order to activate the desired flow, click on the cog wheel on the right-hand side and then on Activate.
13. A popup window will ask you to confirm the activation. Click on Activate.
14. A second popup will show you an overview of the Status, Flow Type, and Schedule of the flow.
Note: For the Sync flow, the scheduled time can be chosen. For the Display flow, the schedule is per page load. Now click on Save.
15. You will be taken back to the Define Flows page and a message will confirm the successful activation.
Congratulations! You have now successfully connected Flare Nexus to NetSuite.
