Login As

Overview

Login As allows an admin user to log in as any active Regular User in the system without knowing the User’s login credentials.

Licensing

Before installing the product package, make sure you have the FayeBSG licensing module installed. You can find the steps to take here.

User Guide

The plugin adds an extra option on the User record view’s Edit dropdown (under the Administration > User Management), allowing the admin user to log in into the SugarCRM instance as any active regular user, providing full SugarCRM functionality.

Example (Users, pre-populated test data):

Admin user wants to find a regular user named “Will Westin”.

Go to the Admin tab and choose the option Login As from the dropdown menu.

This pulls down a page of Sugar users for you to select from.

Click on the user you want to connect as. You will see a popup window asking you to Confirm you want to connect to the chosen account.

By clicking this option the admin user will be logged out and SugarCRM will continue to operate under Will Westin’s authentication token.

In order to regain control of the original admin user, the admin user needs to log out of the user he is connected to, by choosing the Logout from user option in the top-right dropdown menu. This puts the original user back into their session without having to re-login.
