Overview
When getting started with Flare, the most straightforward way to provide your files is by just uploading them manually to your Flare Bridge. This document outlines this process and provides step-by-step instructions on how to upload your .csv files manually.
If at a later stage you want to automate this process, you can do this using an (S)FTP folder or the Flare Bridge API. For more info on this, just check our articles How to upload files using SFTP and How to upload files using API calls.
Prerequisites
You will need the following in order to successfully upload files into your Flare Bridge:
- Know your Flare Bridge URL
The URL to your Flare Bridge instance will be provided by Faye upon purchase of Flare. - Flare Bridge Admin Permissions
You must be an administrator on your instance of the Flare Bridge. - A valid .csv file
Make sure the .csv file you're going to be uploading with your data is formatted correctly. An invalid or improperly formatted file with result in a failed upload. For more info on .csv file formatting, see the How to format your .csv files article.
Upload
The upload process is simple: Just access your Flare Bridge, and click Files on the left. Once here:
1) You can either drag and drop the .csv file onto this space or simply click in the box and manually browse and select the file you would like to upload.
2) This table shows all the files that were previously uploaded.
