Overview
The Sugar-Quickbooks Online Integration synchronizes data between Sugar and QuickBooks Online. The installation requires three steps:
1. Installation of the Sugar – QuickBooks Online Integration module in Sugar
2. Configuration of the module
3. Creation of the QB Online Developer App
This guide covers step one from the 3 mentioned above.
Prerequisites
You will need the following file from Faye to complete the installation:
- FBSGSugarQuickBooksOnline_.zip
Note: All Sugar examples and procedures shown were performed in Sugar version 11.0.0
Note: You will need to have QuickBooks and QuickBooks Web Connector installed on a single computer. That computer will be running the syncs and will need to be left on overnight.
Installation
1. Log in to your Sugar instance using an account with Administrative privileges.
2. Go to the Administration page within Sugar (Click “Admin” in the upper right corner).
3. Click on Module Loader.
4. Click “Choose File” and locate the FBSGSugarQuickBooksOnline_.zip file. Press “Open” and then click the “Upload” button.
5. Click Install on the FBSG Sugar – QuickBooks Online Integration to proceed.
6. Click the Accept radio button to accept the license agreement, and click “Commit” to begin the installation.
Note: This process may take a few minutes to complete.
7. The module will load the main components of the QuickBooks integration.
8. Click Back to Module Loader to return to the Module Loader page.
9. From the Module Loader page click on the Admin icon in the upper right corner and select the Admin link.
10. Under the System tools locate and click Repair.
11. Select Quick Repair and Rebuild.
12. After the Repair and Rebuild is complete scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Execute button to update the database structure.
13. After clicking on the Execute button you will need to click on the Admin icon and select the Admin link again.
14. Once again under the System tools locate and select Repair and then locate and click on Repair Roles.
15. Repair Roles does not provide a progress bar of any kind, but it is safe to assume that when the modules most recently installed appear on the screen at the bottom of the list that the Repair Roles has completed.
16. After Repair Roles has finished click on the Admin icon and select the Admin link.
17. Once in the Admin page scroll to the bottom where you will see the QuickBooks Integration section.
Note: You may have to log out and log back in order for the QuickBooks Integration section to appear in the Admin screen (see below screenshot).
18. The Sugar – QuickBooks Online Integration module has been successfully installed! Please continue to the next article to configure the module.
