Overview
This application synchronizes data between Sugar and QuickBooks. The installation requires three steps:
A. Installation of the Sugar – QuickBooks Integration module within Sugar
B. Configuration of module
C. Installation of the QuickBooks Web Connector Set-Up file
This guide will cover point A. For B please see the How to configure the QuickBooks Desktop Integration guide and for C the How to install The QuickBooks Web Connector guide.
Prerequisites
For this installation to work properly, you need to have QuickBooks and QuickBooks Web Connector installed on a single computer. That computer will be running the syncs and will need to be left on overnight.
You will need the following file from Faye:
- FBSGSugar-QuickBooks_Integration.zip
Installation steps
1. Log in to your Sugar instance using an account with Administrative privileges.
2. Go to the Administration page within Sugar (Click Admin in the upper right corner).
3. Click Module Loader.
4. Click Choose File and locate the QuickBooks Integration Installer-v2.4.15.zip file. Press Open and then click the Upload button.
5. Click Install on the FBSG SugarCRM QuickBooks Integration to proceed.
6. Click the Accept radio button to accept the license agreement, and click Commit to begin the installation.
Note: This process may take a few minutes to complete.
7. The module will load the main components of the QuickBooks integration. A progress bar window will appear on top.
8. You will be taken back to the Module Loader page.
9. From the Module Loader page click on the Admin icon in the upper right corner and select the Admin link.
10. Under the System tools locate and click Repair.
11. Then select Quick Repair and Rebuild.
12. After the Repair and Rebuild is complete scroll to the bottom of the page and click Return to Administration page.
13. Once again under the System tools locate and select Repair and then locate and click on Repair Roles.
14. Repair Roles does not provide a progress bar of any kind, but it is safe to assume that when the modules most recently installed appear on the screen at the bottom of the list that the Repair Roles is completed.
15. After Repair Roles has finished click on the Admin icon and select the Admin link.
16. Once in the Admin page scroll to the bottom where you will see the QuickBooks Integration Section.
Note: You may have to log out and log back in order for the QuickBooks Integration section to appear in the Admin screen (see below screenshot).
17. The Sugar – QuickBooks Integration module has been successfully installed. Please continue to the How to configure the QuickBooks Desktop Integration guide.
