Creating a UDF to Exclude Customers From Sugar Sync

Overview

How to create the checkbox user-defined field (UDF) to prevent the customer from being included in the
automated sugar sync process. Checking the checkbox (or flagging it as “yes”) will exclude the customer
information from being sent to Sugar.

1. Adding the Exclude from Sugar Sync Checkbox

1. Launch MAS 90.
2. Select Custom Office from the MAS 90 Modules Menu.
3. Select User-Defined Fields and Table Maintenance from the Custom Office Main Menu.
4. Select the Accounts Receivable folder from the Module list.
5. Select the AR Customer Masterfile from the Accounts Receivable folder.
6. Double click AR Customer Master and click the Edit Fields button.

7. Click the Add button.

8. Enter 050_EXCLUDE_FROM_SUG_SYNC in the field name.
9. Enter Exclude From Sug Sync in the description.
10. Click OK.



11. In the next screen, select the Check Box radio button then click OK.

 

 

2. Adding the Checkbox to the Customer Maintenance screen

1. Launch MAS 90.
2. Select Accounts Receivable from the MAS 90 Modules Menu.
3. Select Customer Maintenance from the Accounts Receivable Main Menu.
4. Right-click on a blank spot such as the lower right area and it should bring up a context menu.
5. Select Panel setting on the context menu.
6. Select Customizer on the Panel Settings menu.



7. Check both All boxes on the customizer then click OK. There is also an option to modify existing panels if a change is needed.

8. Click the Add Field button.
9. Draw a box in a blank area of the screen design (in most cases, there is available space in the lower-
right corner) by clicking on a portion of that space and "dragging" it in a downward-right motion so it
creates a box that looks similar to the below.

10. Select UDF_050_EXCLUDE_FROM_SUG_SYNC field from the AR_Customer_Bus main folder.



11. Enter Exclude From Sugar Sync in the Text field. Click the Right Button to place the checkbox after the label.
