Obtaining your details to set up the Faye Sugar-Constant Contact integration (CC API V3)

Overview

This article describes how to obtain the necessary details from your Constant Contact to configure the Faye Sugar-Constant Contact integration following the Constant Contact upgrade to the V3 API.

The Constant Contact V3 API is a rebuild of the Constant Contact API for improved performance and reliability. V3 is a REST API that uses JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) payloads for all endpoints and methods, except for one multipart-form endpoint.

Steps

1. Log in to https://developer.constantcontact.com/ and select My Applications.

2. Click on New Application.

3. In the pop-up window, choose a name for your application and click on Create.

4. Once you click on Create, your new App will appear in My Applications.

5. If you already have an existing application for the Faye Sugar-Constant Contact integration, click the copy button next to the application setup for Sugar's Constant Contact integration. Once you click copy, it will make a new application that is compatible with constant contacts v3 API.

6. Click on the new application that was created and then click the Generate Client Secret button.

7. Copy that new client Id and client secret key and apply it to the Constant Contact config settings inside Sugar.

8. Follow the rest of the steps in this guide at point 2.2.

Congratulations! Your Integration is now compatible with the Constant Contact V3 API.
